Heather’s Edit: The First Collection

An inside look at the materials that inspire Heather Robinson’s work as CEO & Creative Director of Heather Robinson Designs.

A closer look at the pieces behind the point of view

Some pieces become part of a design because they do more than fill a space. They bring character, shape the atmosphere, and give a room its point of view.

Heather’s Edit is a curated collection of the pieces, materials, and details Heather Robinson is personally drawn to and returns to in her work at Heather Robinson Designs.

For the first collection, the focus is on lighting and chairs — two elements that can quietly transform the character of a room through form, material, proportion, and craftsmanship.

These are not simply pieces selected for their appearance.

They reflect the details Heather looks for when creating interiors that feel considered, layered, and distinctly their own.

In this collection:

  • Lighting – Fixtures selected for their materiality, proportion, and the quality of light they bring to a space.
  • Chairs – Sculptural and beautifully crafted pieces chosen for their form, texture, and ability to add character without overwhelming the room.

01 — Lighting

Lighting is one of the details that can quietly change the character of an interior.

The material, scale, silhouette, and quality of light all contribute to how a space feels.

For Heather Robinson, the most compelling fixtures balance presence with restraint. Natural materials, sculptural forms, and warm finishes bring another layer of depth to a room without overwhelming the architecture.

The first Heather’s Edit collection brings together lighting pieces that reflect that sensibility — from softly glowing alabaster and hand-blown glass to smoked glass, aged brass, and refined metalwork.

ALABASTER

Alabaster Bedside Pendant Light

A small-scale fixture with a strong material presence. The natural veining and translucency of alabaster allow the light to become part of the material itself.

Hand-Carved Alabaster Sconce
The appeal lies in the combination of natural stone and hand-carved form — a fixture that feels sculptural even when unlit

GLASS

UNIKA Blown Glass Pendant
Hand-blown glass brings subtle variation and softness to a space, while the brass detail adds warmth and definition.

Louis Chandelier — Smoked Glass
Smoked glass introduces depth and a quieter sense of drama, allowing the fixture to feel substantial without becoming visually heavy.

METAL + BRASS

Loving Life Antique Brass LED Wall Light
A minimal vertical form paired with an antique brass finish — understated enough to disappear into the architecture, but warm enough to contribute to the atmosphere.

Glass

A chair can bring more than function to a room. Shape, material, craftsmanship, and proportion can give a piece a presence of its own — turning an everyday furnishing into part of the visual language of the space.

For Heather Robinson, the most compelling chairs have a sense of individuality. Handcrafted wood, rich leather, sculptural silhouettes, and thoughtful proportions create pieces that feel considered rather than purely decorative.

This selection brings together chairs chosen for their craftsmanship, materiality, and distinctive character — pieces with enough presence to hold their own within a thoughtfully designed interior.

WOOD + CRAFTSMANSHIP

Handcrafted solid wood gives this chair its character, with a sculptural silhouette that allows the craftsmanship and natural material to remain the focus.

SCULPTURAL FORM

What These Pieces Have in Common

The pieces in Heather’s Edit are different in form, material, and function, but the selection is guided by the same principles: strong proportion, beautiful materials, craftsmanship, and a sense of character.

For Heather Robinson, the most successful interiors are not built around what is simply trending. They come together through pieces that feel considered — elements that add depth, shape the atmosphere, and continue to feel relevant over time.

Lighting can define the mood of a room. A chair can introduce sculptural form or warmth. Together, these details become part of the architectural language of an interior rather than simply another layer of decoration.

That is the thinking behind Heather’s Edit: a personal selection of pieces worth returning to.
